The site for slate history and photographs, Dave Sallery's comprehensive and wonderful Slate Industry of North and Mid Wales

A totally fascinating look back a few decades, to when we hadn't quite lost so much...the amazing ROTWSI site, a.k.a. Remains of the Welsh Slate Industry.  Highly recommended.

Dave Linton's hugely valuable resource, Hendrecoed North Wales Mining History, a first stop reference for identifying mines.

The National Slate Museum...use it or lose it- a fantastic resource and a great day out- and it's located in Dinorwig! What's not to like? Yes, there's a coffee shop, too...

AditNow...the essential forum for those with an interest in mines and quarries...from industrial archaeology to exploring, with an impressive resource section open to members. It costs nothing to join.

David Kitching's web site about Poynton Collieries, canals, Industrial archaeology, Damselflies, Chinese steam and much more.
Other interesting links to sites from my favourite friends on the web
